Welcome To Millvale Volunteer Fire Department

Welcome to the Millvale Volunteer Fire Department Web Page. Our Station, Number 191 is located two miles north of the city of Pittsburgh, PA. The Millvale Volunteer Fire Department services Millvale Borough, a community of approximately 4000 residents. We are a 100% Volunteer fire department serving our citizens with reliable Fire, Rescue, and Fire Police services.

Free Smoke Alarms For Allegheny County Residents

The Allegheny County Health Department has a free smoke alarm program for residents who have no smoke alarms or ones too old to be reliable.

"Smoke alarms are proven life-savers but only when they are in good working order," said County Health Director Dr. Bruce W. Dixon.

Nearly half of all smoke alarms don’t work because they have missing, disconnected or dead batteries or are more than 10 years old and no longer reliable.

Working smoke alarms cut the risk of dying in a house fire by 50%, yet most residential fire deaths occur in homes with no smoke alarms or defective alarms.

The program, funded by the Pennsylvania Department of Health, provides and installs a maximum of two battery-operated smoke alarms per home.

9/26/11 - Comm Structure Fire - Evergreen.

Units were dispatched to a Commercial structure fire at the Hauser Trucking Company. Evergreen Rd and E Ohio St. in Millvale. Units arrived to find the storage shed fully engulfed. The fire was quickly under countrol and extinguished.

6/5/11 - MVA into a lightpole - 28 ramp

Units were dispatched to a single motor vehicle accident into a lightpole and rested on a guard rail in the median of Rt. 28 on/off ramp of Millvale.

12/31/10 - Vehicle into parked car - lincoln Ave.
Vehicle into parked car. 120 Lincoln Ave.

10/31/10 - MVC Vehicle on roof - E.Ohio & 28

Units were dispatched to a MVC. Vehicle on its roof on the East Ohio St. - Rt. 28 on ramp.

10/15/10 - MVC Rollover Southbound Rt.28
Crews were dispatched to Rt.28 Millvale overpass for a vehicle Rollover

9/20/10 MVC - 3 Vehicle Accident Rt.28
About 6AM this morning crews were dispatched to a 3 vehicle accident on Rt 28. 1 patient with serious injuries.

7/30/10 Vehicle Fire - Maryland ave.
units were dispatched to a vehicle fire at St. Nicks church on Maryland Ave.

7/7/10 MVC 800 block of Evergreen Ave

Crews were dispatched at 04:20am for a motor vehicle crash in the 800 block of Evergreen Ave. No Injuries were reported.

4/29/10 MVC North Ave. John St.

Crews were dispatched at 01:51am for a motor vehicle crash on North Ave. between the streets of John and Fredrick.
